* HSRyan shrugs. "Business as usual, then, I guess..."
* Ballade grabs Quint and pulls him out from behind the bar
{Zero_Saber} Guess I'll have to add in a group singing and dancing to business as usual then.
* Ballade leaves him sitting on top of the bar
* Quint grabbed an e-tank for himself
{HSRyan} Well, business as usual defined as 'weird stuff in the Sanctuary'.

* Quint swings his feet, drinks the contents of the e-tank
* Ballade looks at Ryan, suspicious. "What are you?"
* HSRyan shrugs. "Hyper-class cyborg. Seventy five percent mechanical, designed for combat, but couldn't care less about it."
* Ballade snickers. "Sounds like Light-bot here..."
* Ballade pokes Quint with a grin, almost knocking him off the bar
* HSRyan raises an eyebrow.
* Quint frowns. "I'm NOT a Light-bot, Ballade..."

* Ballade smirks and pushes Quint off the bar... is testing the no-violence rules a bit

* HSRyan wanders over to the bar, really after a drink...
{HSRyan} Brotherly love. Huh. *scans around and grabs a Red Bull*
* Ballade snerks. "I'm not a Light-bot..."
{HSRyan} Neither is he, from what I heard. *shrugs*
* Quint makes a face, decides to get Ballade back for the earlier teasing. "If I am, then you are too... you know Dr. Wily reused some of the coding he stole..."
* Ballade looks to Ryan. "He acts like one..."
* Ballade looks down at Quint, disgusted. "Am not..."
{HSRyan} And what, exactly, does that mean? Hmm?
{Angel_Rei} *smiles faintly* Of course I care.
* OctoRei carefully... tentatively, in case her AT field flares... takes Rei's hand
{Ballade} None of your buisness...
* HSRyan raises an eyebrow. "Fine."
* Quint fidgets, getting up
{Quint} I.. it'd be too hard to explain, Ryan... really.... *looks away*
* HSRyan shrugs. "Whatever, I guess."
* Ballade whaps Quint with a pillow
* HSRyan just sits down and watches, not about to get drawn into things - he's seen it all before.
* Ballade heads for the door, going to look for Punk and then check the Nexus again
* Ballade throws the empty e-tank at Quint when he leaves
* Quint gets bonked with the e-tank
* Quint sighs, picks up te empty e-tanks, goes to throw them away
* HSRyan gives Quint a smile. "He often like that?"
* MistressNaoko peeks in from the door
* HSRyan waves.
* Quint smirks slightly. "Ballade? No... he's... not 'often' anything.... he kinda changes a lot"
{Quint} He was hyper earlier, but... I think he's going into one of his down moods again
{HSRyan} Heh. One of those types. Fair enough.
* MistressNaoko wonders if it's safe to come into sanctuary and if the pillow fight's over
* Quint is alone by the bar... Ballade is gone
{Quint} (well, alone as in no Ballade... Ryan is there)
* HSRyan is just relaxing in a chair near the bar.
* Angel_Rei pets Rei's hand gently.
* OctoRei suddenly looks up
{OctoRei} Oh!
{OctoRei} ...I'm so stupid...
{Angel_Rei} What?
{OctoRei} It's the actuators.
* Cinnamon is still cuddled up against Axl, her eyes closed, just enjoying being with him.
{OctoRei} I operate them... essentially by AT field.
{OctoRei} They're not used to Yui.
{OctoRei} It's interference.
{Angel_Rei} Oh...
* MistressNaoko comes in and walks much more quietly than before, "Evening"
* HSRyan gives Naoko a smile. "Hey. What's up?"
{OctoRei} I... I'm sure I can adjust them.
* Quint smiles faintly, hops back up on the bar where he was before Ballade pushed him off... swings his feet
{MistressNaoko} Not too much *hugs Quint*
* Angel_Rei nods. "Good."
{MistressNaoko} Hey Ry, Quint
{HSRyan} Same here. All good, though. *pauses, and shrugs*
* Quint blinks, startled by the hug
{Quint} H.. hello...
* HSRyan thinks Quint looked like he needed it.
{MistressNaoko} What's been happening in the hour I was gone?
* Quint is actually in an ok mood...
{HSRyan} Well, all I saw was the pillow fight finishing, so... *shrugs*
* Quint shrugs slightly. "Ballade left... You.. um.. probably shouldn't have thrown things at him...."
{Quint} He gets distracted easy...
{HSRyan} You started it, then? *laughs*
* MistressNaoko grins, not saying anything
* Quint looks embarrased
* HSRyan grins back.
{Quint} (Quint more or less started the first part of it...)
* Quint shrugs slightly. "He... usually doesn't hurt anyone else if he's distracted..."
{HSRyan} Mmm. *looks down for a moment*
{MistressNaoko} Was he about to hurt someone?
* Quint glances at her. "He might have hurt you if he caught you throwing those pillows"
{HSRyan} Yeah, but here? You know it's safe, right?
{MistressNaoko} and there is the fact that it was all in fun :)
{MistressNaoko} sides, I move faster anyways :)
* Quint shrugs. "It's safe here. But if he was upset he could go outside of the Nexus and.. do something."
[Editor note: at that point, Quint didn't know they couldn't leave for now]
{HSRyan} Mmm... okay.
* Quint looks down, looks at Naoko. "My brothers don't understand that kind of fun...."
* MistressNaoko hugs Quint
{HSRyan} Their loss... *smiles*
{MistressNaoko} Well, we could teach them... but I can take care of myself, no worries :)
* Quint squirms slightly
* Quint shrugs, thinks of punk, smirks. "I.. don't know if they'd want to learn...."
{HSRyan} Heh. The kids at my base didn't want to either.
* Quint hesitates, looks at Ryan. "Remember... what he called me? It... has to do with that. I'm... messed up."
{MistressNaoko} well, it's easy to teach them if you wrap it in different guises
{HSRyan} You're not messed up... why do you say that?
{Quint} You really want to know...?
{HSRyan} I've heard worse. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but... *smiles*
{Quint} Right before I was made, Dr. Wily stole a time machine.... he and Enker and some of the others went into the future. About 30 years, I think....
* HSRyan nods sympathetically.
{Quint} they stole some things from a lab that used to belong to Dr. Light. parts... blueprints... some coding samples....
[Note: Obviously not any complete blueprints, as those weren't aquired by Wily until Forte stole them in the past. But this would have been more along the lines of diagrams for parts, scraps of info. Nothing complete]
{HSRyan} Okay...
{Quint} Stuff meant for a project Dr. Light was working on. Some sort of future version of Rockman...
* MistressNaoko listens quietly
* HSRyan has an idea where this is going.
{HSRyan} ...Did they use that stuff on you, then?
* Quint hesitates, nods. "He changed the coding... but some of it he didn't mess with because he hadn't figured it all out yet..."
* HSRyan smiles. "So you're more advanced than any of them, then?"
{Quint} Dr. Light was always better at programming....
* Quint shrugs. "That was the idea. It always is with the newest ones. He reused what he learned when he made Punk, and Ballade... and then Forte..."
{Quint} But he worked on getting the alterations right instead of all... messed up... like I am
* HSRyan gives Quint a sympathetic smile. "You don't seem messed up to me. Stop telling yourself that."
* Quint smirks, a bit darkly, the expression odd. "For a Wilybot, I am."
{HSRyan} That doesn't matter.
* MistressNaoko walks behind the bar and makes some drinks
{HSRyan} If we're going through the 'how I was made' thing, I'm nothing more than spare parts. Doesn't matter at all.
* Quint shrugs. "I don't care. I thought you wanted to know why Ballade was calling me a 'Light-bot'"
{HSRyan} I did. *shrugs*
{HSRyan} But you were the one who said he was messed up. Seems he's got no place to call you anything he isn't.
* Quint frowns. "I didn't say he was messed up. I said Dr. Wily reused parts of the coding...."
{HSRyan} My mistake.
{HSRyan} I meant, if he's calling you a Lightbot like it's a bad thing, he's not got a place to do so.
{Quint} Ballade's just... strange sometimes. Punk... he acts like what most people think a Wilybot should act like...
* Quint rolls eyes... "As if we're all alike...."
* HSRyan shrugs. "That's obvious."
* MistressNaoko puts out a cup of hot cocoa for Quint and a warm tea for Ryan
* Quint looks curiously at the hot cocoa
* HSRyan takes the cup. "Thanks."
{MistressNaoko} Welcome
* MistressNaoko takes a sip of her own rose tea and listens to Quint
* Cinnamon is curled up on the couch next to Axl, her head resting on his shoulder with her eyes closed. If anyone were to look closely, they would realize she'd drifted off to sleep.
* Quint indicates the cocoa. "Is this for me?"
{MistressNaoko} Yes
{MistressNaoko} should make you feel better :)
* Quint picks up the cocoa, looking a little puzzled. "Thank you."
* Quint is still puzzled. "I... I'm not upset, though."
* Axl_ looks at Cinnamon, then looks at the clock, and figures he'd better get her home.
* Quint smiles faintly. "It... was kind of nice playing with Ballade again. Without the explosions this time..."
* HSRyan smiles, taking a sip of tea.
{Quint} I don't think he or Punk have orders to take me back yet... they're just watching the Nexus while Dr. Wily is busy with projects....
* Axl_ gets up and picks up Cinnamon, careful not to wake her up, then nods at everyone and heads for the door.

* Quint sips cocoa. "Protoman and Enker are too busy too, and Forte... I... don't think Dr. Wily trusts him...."
* Quint frowns a little. "That could be... very bad for Forte."
{HSRyan} Hmm?
* MistressNaoko seconds the Hmm?
{Quint} If Forte is starting to be able to disobey Dr. Wily, he'll probably want to destroy him when he's done making Zero. That's what happened to another Forte I met. Dr. Wily was going to disassemble him...
* HSRyan closes his eyes. "Ah."
* MistressNaoko nods
* Zero_Saber is sitting on a empty couch, reading over a datapad - he's been flipping between playing solitaire and actually working through reports.
{HSRyan} I get the feeling Forte can handle himself, though.

* Quint shrugs. "The other one I met killed Dr. Wily...."
{HSRyan} Says it all, then. *laughs*
* Quint grins
* MistressNaoko chuckle
* Quint sips cocoa...
{Quint} I wanted to put a disc through his head the last time I was near him... even though it was some other universe... but... Kalinka was there....
{HSRyan} Mmm?
{MistressNaoko} The one where she got hurt?
* Quint shakes head. "No... after that..."
{Quint} Some other universe's version of Protoman kidnapped her and took her to Skull Castle.... in a different universe (Toonverse)
* HSRyan nods.
* MistressNaoko curses..."How is she now?"
* Quint looks away, doesn't want to think about what he did. "She's ok... a bit upset is all."
{Quint} She... saw some things she shouldn't have had to
{HSRyan} I understand...
{MistressNaoko} I... see.
{Quint} I won't think that Protoman will be around for a while...
* Quint sips cocoa
{Quint} He made Dr. Wily mad.....
* HSRyan smiles, half-amused.
{Quint} He was stupid to take Kalinka there...It's not allowed... if she'd been found, she would have been killed.
* HSRyan stops smiling, and nods.
* Quint shakes his head a bit. "And... she was most upset because he kissed her...."
{Quint} I.. don't understand that
* HSRyan blinks.
{Quint} He was playing with her... because she was friends with Blues...
* HSRyan shakes his head. "Makes sense to me why she was upset, then."
* Quint frowns. "He deserves it if Dr. Wily beats him senseless for that mess...."
{HSRyan} Heh. Yeah. *sips tea*
{Quint} I.. had to fight three of the others. Not my brothers, just Robot Masters... but... they were ones I'd met before
{Quint} or versions of them
* Quint shrugs. "They were sort of made different there... they... fell apart... really easy..."
* MistressNaoko nods quietly, not really familiar with the story...
{HSRyan} Mmm.
* Quint shrugs, takes another drink of his cocoa... mumbles something about bad puns and even worse kareoke....
* MistressNaoko stands up, and hugs both of them
{MistressNaoko} I need to go and make sure the mun's fed
* HSRyan blinks. "Okay..."
{HSRyan} See ya, then...
{MistressNaoko} you two be good now? and you know where to find me if you need help or healing?
{Quint} I didn't kill them. I tried to get back in time... but Dr. Wily and Protoman got to them first
* Quint nods a lil, waves bye to Naoko
* HSRyan smiles. "Will do. See ya." He looks at Quint. "Does it matter?"

* Quint blinks in surprise. "If I'd beat them back, maybe I could have found a way to get Cutman and Gutsman out of there... Stoneman ran away...."
{HSRyan} Mmm...
* Quint looks down. "I couldn't teleport with Kalinka, though... and I couldn't have carried either of them... they're both bigger than me... though Cutman isn't much bigger"
{HSRyan} Why were you looking to get them out?
{Quint} Because.... I.. it might have been a different universe... but... too much was the same....
{HSRyan} Mmm. *doesn't quite see what's going on, but looks sympathetic anyway*
{Quint} They only fought me because they were scared of Protoman... and of Dr. Wily
* HSRyan nods.
* Quint scowls. "I won't be like Blues was...."
{HSRyan} No. You decide what you want to do yourself.
* Quint shakes head. "You don't understand. Blues was the oldest... he broke the laws long before any of the rest of us were made...."
{HSRyan} I don't understand. You're right. But - he broke the laws, you've broken them too, it's all free from that point on, isn't it?
{Quint} "But any time he showed up it would be to mess with blueprints or help Rock... if he talked to us at all it was to point out how much better he was..."
{HSRyan} Ah. I see. I think.
{Quint} He did as much as Dr. Wily to make us believe we couldn't do the same...
* HSRyan shakes his head. "That's bad."
{Quint} I won't do that.... If.. if there's a chance to get any of the others out... I... I'll try...
{HSRyan} Okay. I'm getting you now.
* Quint looks down. "The most Blues ever did for any of us was to make sure none of us were girls..."
{Quint} ... and I think he did that more to protect Wily than us
* HSRyan blinks.
* Quint smirks slightly... looks at the rest of his cocoa. "I.. if Gutsman really wanted to hurt me, he'd have sang something."
* Quint snickers.
* HSRyan laughs.
* Quint fights snickers. "He can't... at all... but he..."
* Quint shakes head. "Two words: Kareoke Night"
* HSRyan bursts out laughing. "That says it all."
* Quint nods. "Any of the Wilybots would know what that means. Those two words and they'd know... stay away from Gutsman unless you want forced into the audience"
{Quint} It's... little things like that I miss most, I think...
* Quint sips cocoa
* HSRyan calms down and nods, smiling. "Yeah."
{HSRyan} No place like home, sometimes.
* Zero_Saber frowns slightly, rubbing at his forehead as he continues working through the report.
{HSRyan} Whether that's good or bad, though... well... *shrugs*
{Quint} Mostly bad. But... not always
{HSRyan} Yeah. Sounds like me and the Resistance. But... you don't want to hear that. *grins*
* Quint has already decided that Zero might technically be a sibling, but is not what he thinks of as a Wilybot
{Quint} Or if Crashman and Quickman are ever both out of the Gallery at the same time...

{HSRyan} Heh. Remember one of the parties that they threw back at base. *shakes his head, laughing*

* Quint nods. "I.. don't know how to get them away from him yet. They can't let anyone else modify their coding...."
{HSRyan} Mmm. These things're gonna take time...
* Quint shrugs. "But they're here. And they're not trying to kill me, yet anyway..."

{Quint} I got here to find Alec had turned Ballade into a turtle, though....
{HSRyan} He... oh, man!... *grins*
{Quint} ... might not see Ballade for a couple days, if that triggers one of his downswings

* Quint didn't find the turtle thing funny, since people were teasing his younger brother
* Quint is about the only one other than Ballade who didn't think it was funny

* HSRyan doesn't know this, but tones down the grin to a sympathetic smile.

* Zero_Saber blinks, glancing up from his datapad, tilting his head to the side slightly. "... As you said, you didn't know. It's alright. ... I do remember a few things. Fragments... But honestly, not a lot."
{Quint} It's.. probably better that you don't.
{Zero_Saber} ... Maybe.
* Quint looks a tad embarrased. "I... guess I should have asked someone... before trying to talk to you. But... I... I didn't want to ask... other people."
* Quint shrugs slightly. "People usually just say bad things about Wilybots... I... didn't know you weren't... like us."
{Zero_Saber} I'm a Wilybot... but not.
* Quint nods.
